To mark the end of the gloomy month of January, the Mod nan Eilean Siar 2011 Committee have organised a fundraising ceilidh and dance which will be held in Point.  On Friday the 29^th of January, the Tiumpanhead Community Hall will be the location of a ceilidh and dance that will blow away those winter cobwebs!  The ceilidh will begin at 8pm followed by a dance by the popular and talented group of youngsters, Oidhche Chiadain.   In the first part of the evening the Point area will be well represented with Iain MacKay, Seumas MacTaggart and Còisir Òg an Rubha performing and they will be ably joined by Joy Dunlop, Jenna Cumming and Kirsty Watt and Josie Duncan.

As well as a soup, rolls, homebaking, tea, coffee and a bar, there will also be a raffle and a mini bus service.  Tickets are available from An Comunn Office and they cost £7 and £5 or alternatively payment can be made at the door on the evening.  For more information contact An Comunn Gàidhealach Office on 01851 703487.
